Happy New Soccer Year
from Coaching Education!

Yes, Sept. 1, 2012 brings in a New Year for North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA) and the Coaching Education Department.

In the 2012-13 soccer year, you will see a move to the Youth Module branding for coaching clinics from the U6 through U12 age groups. This move will allow coaches to begin their coaching education before attending the classroom lecture by downloading the Coaching Manual from the NTSSA web site. With the approval of the 2012-13 budgets at the July AGM, there will be an increase in coaching clinics/schools fees.

The new fees for the Youth Modules will be as follows:

  • U6-U8 Youth Module (“G” Coaching Clinic): $10 per coach
  • U10 Youth Module (“F” Coaching Clinic): $50 per coach
  • U12 Youth Module: $75 per coach

The National “E” Coaching School’s new fee is $100 per coach and the National “D” Coaching School’s fee is $175.

September 2012 will be a transition month for new coaching education fees.  Any coaching clinic/school scheduled and conducted in the month of September 2012 will be at the old fee. The new fees will begin for coaching clinics/schools scheduled after Sept. 30, 2012.

For the NTSSA-hosted Coaches Field Clinic, the National Youth License, and the National “C” Coaching School, there will be no new fee.

A deposit based on the new fees will still be required for the first 15 coaches for all Youth Modules and selected National Coaching Schools.

For coaches, a Field Activities Coaching Manuals for the Youth Module age groups can be downloaded from the NTSSA website.

The On-Site Coordinator will provide registered coaches the NTSSA web site to download the appropriate Coaching Manual with instruction to bring the manual to the classroom lecture in either a printed or electronic format.
