Lopez Named NSCAA Youth Regional Coach of the Year; National Honor to Be Announced in January

Congratulations to North Texas Strikers’ Reynaldo Lopez, who has been named one of four Youth Regional Coaches of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Lopez will be honored with his award at the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis in January, where one of the regional honorees will be named National Youth Coach of the Year.

Over the last three decades, Lopez has turned his passion for soccer cultivated in his native Bolivia into a passion for coaching, mentoring thousands of youth players at the club and academy level. Lopez currently holds a number of National and International coaching licenses, including a USSF National “B” License, and has led his teams to a remarkable 136 tournament titles in his 32 years in coaching. Lopez was named North Texas Soccer’s Coach of the Year in 2009.

In addition to his work with North Texas Strikers, where he serves as head coach of the ’93, ’96, ’99 and 2000 boys’ teams, Lopez is the founder of Stars Soccer Academy, which teaches local Dallas-area players the South American style of soccer on which Lopez himself was raised.

Congratulations, Reynaldo!
