Lawson Returns from Liberia

Thank y'all for your heartfelt support during my trip to Liberia. I arrived back home in Dallas on Sat., Sept. 3. Phase 1 is now completed – mission accomplished! I set up an infrastructure for a youth soccer league. The test league will start Nov. 19 with 180 teams participating in an eight-week soccer league. This will be the first league of its kind in the history of Liberia, with co-ed participants, ages 4-15.

I’m pleased to announce that Chevron Liberia will be paying for two containers of equipment, clothing, etc., to be shipped back to Liberia through Houston. I will load them and oversee the shipment, and then return to Liberia to kick off the league in November. We still have plenty of room in the containers and can use player/field equipment, t-shirts, etc. Really, anything new or used in any quantity would be an enormous asset to us. We can also use old trophies.

Soon, I’ll be out and about and looking forward to reconnecting with y’all. I plan to sleep for a few more days and get my bearings again after having been gone for nine weeks. Thank you for your continued support and prayers; they made a difference.

Doc
