99 Boys Olympic Development Player
Attends International Competition

Eric Secor (99B) represented NTX ODP as a player on the 2013 99B Region III ODP team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The competition included teams from Chivas, Atlas, Seleccion Jalisco and Estudiantes Tecos clubs. They finished with three wins and one draw.

For Eric, the experience of playing outside the United States for the first time was exciting. The opportunity to again play with the Region III coaches and teammates that he had worked with over Thanksgiving at the Regional in Casa Grande was something he could not pass up.

Eric said, “It was an amazing trip! Everyone I met from coaches to players was great. The opportunity to play against such strong local talent was challenging and pushed my soccer skills. I learned a lot from my coaches and teammates that will make me a better player.”

Overall, Eric was excited to represent North Texas ODP and Region III. He is looking forward to the Region III Camp this summer and seeing many of his friends from the trip again.
